What is Hand Born?
Since 2004, Hand Born has been an annual shopping event showcasing independent designers, artisans, and alternative crafters, allowing them to sell their wares and promote their small businesses in a hip, inclusive, and entertaining atmosphere. This year’s event will include over 50 Vendors at 7 Locations on J Street in downtown Modesto!

In the midst of a mass-produced economy, this craft bazaar offers consumers a personal and unique shopping experience where they can purchase one-of-a kind, stylish goods directly from the artist or designer. Shoppers will be treated to DJ’s and street-corner musicians sponsored by Modesto’s premier independent music promotion company, OFF THE AIR. Past events have drawn over 1,000 shoppers creating awareness of businesses in downtown Modesto.

Contributions to the Modesto community
Thanks to our generous vendors who donate items to our raffle, we are able to contribute to a charity of our choice. This year Hand Born is proud to donate all proceeds from our raffle to the Stanislaus Literacy Center.
